They are not your typical Southern Gospel quartet. Triumphant Quartet has carved a niche all their own in the Southern Gospel industry. Fans love their sound, their enthusiasm, and their heart – and that hasn’t changed despite pushing the envelope with their production choices. Bigger Than Sunday is a true theme for this collection of ten songs set to release in February (2021). Throughout the album, Triumphant Quartet reminds listeners that God is bigger than the hour you spend at church on Sunday morning or the hour at your mid-week prayer service; rather, God is the God of all things and all events; He is the God of life. God should be our focus and hope whether things are good or bad. He is our Hope, our Savior, our Provider – and He is worthy of our praise. This theme is timeless and stretches across all genres.
As they have done for the last two albums, Triumphant Quartet once again puts their spin on a couple of current popular songs: “Goodness of God” (Bethel) and “Waymaker” (Leeland). Fans have also continued to request songs they’ve recorded over the years, and so Triumphant Quartet breathes new life into some of their most requested songs by including them as a new medley. And while they know that their fans will embrace these older songs and worship hits, it’s the originals that have them most excited. Group member Scotty Inman has become a force to be reckoned with as a songwriter. He has co-written 7 of the 10 songs on the album, including the title cut, “Bigger Than Sunday” (with Benji Cowart and Tony Wood), “Don’t Miss Jesus” (with Michael Farren and Tony Wood), and “He Walked Out” (with Jason Cox and Kenna Turner West).
